Special Visual Effects Plugins

Turbine Video Encoder supports visual effects from the open FreeFrame FX framework ( http://www.freeframe.org ), allowing access to a large numbers of third party effects.

These effects are all listed in the bottom part of the Visual Effects tab. To apply one visual effect do:

1. Select the Visual Effects tab
2. Click on one of the visual effects listed on the bottom part of this tab, inside the Visual FX box
3. Notice the chosen effect is immediately applied to source video visible in the timeline area
4. To remove the visual effect choose No FX from the Visual FX box

Making Available Third-Party Visual Effects

The open FreeFrame FX framework is a open standard which allows anyone to write a new plugin and hence many third party plugins are available on the Internet. TVE can work with any of these third party plugins, you just have to do a simple file copy:

1. Locate the directory where TVE is installed. Usually"C:\Program Files\Turbine Video Encoder 4\"
2. Copy the plugin file(s) (usually a .dll), to the "plugins" directory
3. Launch TVE and the new plugin will be listed along with others
