Video Blog Publishing Guide

A step-by-step guide on video blog publishing with Turbine Video Encoder.

Step 4: Make Your Video Available

If you don't have a web site - don't worry because there are companies that will host your media for free. You can sign up for a free account for example in one of these companies:

In my case, since I have a web site, I am just going to upload my video. I saved my Flash video with the name video.flv so I will have to upload all the files created by TVE:

  • video.flv - the video
  • video.flv.jpg - a screenshot of the first frame
  • video.swf - the player
  • skin3.swf - a file used by the player

All these files are located in the Blue Pacific web site in the following location:
  http://blue-pacific.com/products/turbinevideo/samples/media/

It is important to to know the URL where your video is located for the next steps. All the free media hosting services I mentioned earlier will tell you the exact URL.
